Privacy policy

Maison Layali handles your personal data with care. This privacy policy explains which data we process when you visit our website or buy something from us, why we do so and what rights you have.

Who is responsible?

Maison Layali is a trading name of Kaabmedia, Prins Mauritsstraat 62, 2628 SV Delft, Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number 82149569, email info@maisonlayali.nl. Kaabmedia is responsible for processing your personal data as described in this privacy policy.

Which data do we process?

  • Your order: your name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number (if you enter it), what you order, the amounts and the status of your payment. If you order as a business, also your company name and VAT number.
  • Your account, if you create one: your name, email address, addresses, your orders and your wish list.
  • Returns and withdrawals: what you send back, the reason you give and the refund.
  • A reminder about your basket: only if you tick the box for it yourself, your email address and what is in your basket.
  • A message when a product is available again: your email address, only if you ask for it.
  • Contact: what you send us via the contact form, by email or by phone.
  • Website statistics: only if you give your consent, via Google Analytics.
  • Technical data: for the security and operation of the website, the server temporarily processes your IP address.

Why do we process this data?

  • To process your order, have it delivered and handle your return or withdrawal, and to send you the confirmation, the invoice and messages about your order (performance of the contract).
  • To keep our accounts as the law requires (a legal obligation).
  • To answer your question (your request) and to prevent fraud and spam (our legitimate interest).
  • With your consent: to improve the website and to remind you of your basket.

How long do we keep your data?

  • Orders and invoices: 7 years, because tax law requires it.
  • Your account: until you close it. After that we keep your orders only for our accounts, without your name and contact details.
  • A basket you did not check out: no longer than necessary; after that it is automatically anonymised.
  • Messages via the contact form or by email: as long as needed to handle your question, then at most 12 months.
  • Google Analytics data: automatically deleted after 14 months.

Who do we share your data with?

We never sell your data. We only share it with those needed to deliver your order or to run the website:

  • Mollie B.V. (Amsterdam): processes your payment. If you choose to pay later or in instalments (Klarna, in3 or Riverty), that provider also receives your details and your order; their own privacy rules also apply.
  • Our suppliers: they ship some of the pieces directly to you. They then receive your name, your delivery address and what you ordered, only to deliver that product. Every product shows which country it is shipped from.
  • Delivery services such as PostNL and DHL: your name, address and, if you enter them, your email address or phone number, to deliver your parcel.
  • Resend (Resend, Inc., United States): sends our emails, such as your order confirmation and the messages from the contact form. Your data is transferred to the United States, on the basis of the EU standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
  • Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd. and Google LLC, United States): website statistics, only with your consent. Google signals and data sharing with Google are switched off; Google may process data in the United States.
  • Google reCAPTCHA (Google Ireland Ltd. and Google LLC, United States): protects the forms against spam. Only when you fill in a form does your browser send data to Google for this, such as your IP address. This is needed to keep the forms secure and therefore does not require consent.
  • Hosting: the website and the webshop run on Kaabmedia's servers at Hostinger in Germany. Backups are stored in the European Union.
  • Our accountant: receives the invoices for our accounts.
