About this product
A green carafe of recycled glass, mouth-blown by glassblowers in Cairo, 14 centimetres wide and 20 centimetres tall.
The glassblowers make it from shards of glass, which they melt down and blow again. The glass is sturdy, heavy and slightly rustic. Every carafe is unique: you will see small particles or bubbles in the glass, and the rim is often thick and not always quite straight.
Use it for water or fruit juice at the table. The carafe comes to us through La Route des Rois, a French company from Marseille that offers craftwork from Egypt. Washing by hand is recommended.
Material and care
Material: Recycled glass (glass shards), mouth-blown
Care: Wash by hand in lukewarm water with a little washing-up liquid and dry with a soft cloth. Do not pour in boiling water. Small air bubbles are part of mouth-blown glass.
