Haramlek placemat

A placemat in 100% cotton with a rhythmic, ornamental border around a natural centre, screen-printed by hand on both sides. It is printed by the Malaika team in Cairo; the placemat is handmade in Egypt.

The pattern is inspired by traditional ornaments. Malaika first draws and paints each design in its own studio, then prints it by hand with a traditional silk screen, without machines. That makes every piece slightly different. The placemat measures 42 x 33 cm.

Choose warm terracotta, with an earthy feel, or a calm teal that looks cooler. Add a Felucca or Luxor Palm napkin, also by Malaika, for a table full of handcraft.

Care: Follow the care label. Wash inside out on a low spin, separately the first time, and preferably dry on the line.
