Moon bowl, alabaster

A small bowl of hand-worked alabaster from Luxor, 7 cm high and 11 cm across at the top. Choose white or brown marbled. It is handmade in Egypt for Malaika.

Malaika works with artisans throughout Egypt to preserve traditional crafts, and alabaster is one of them. The bowl has a smooth, slightly translucent surface. Because each piece is made by hand, the veining, colour and size always vary a little: no two are alike.

Place it on a side table, a windowsill or your bedside table, empty or for small things such as rings. It goes well with the Luxor candle holder and the Gadus vase, also in alabaster. Never put water directly into it.

Care: Alabaster is a soft stone that absorbs water. Wipe it with a dry or slightly damp cloth, without cleaning products, and never put water directly into it.
