Blue Vine serving dish

An oblong earthenware serving dish, 30 x 15 cm, with graceful blue vines on a calm green glaze. It is handmade in Egypt, in the Fayoum oasis, for Malaika.

The dish is made from fire clay from Aswan in Upper Egypt and finished with a lead-free glaze, coloured with earth oxides. The blue vines curl in loose loops across the green. Because each dish is made by hand, it always varies a little in colour, line and size.

Serve appetisers on it with drinks, use it for bread or present a dessert. Together with the Leaf Dance jug, also from Fayoum, it brings blue and green to the table. Wash it by hand.

Material: Earthenware of fire clay from Aswan, lead-free glaze

Care: Wash by hand and do not leave it in water for long. Do not put it in the dishwasher or microwave unless the description says you may. Hand-painted pottery differs slightly in colour and line from piece to piece.
